West Virginia Secretary of State Kris Warner has announced a 21% voter turnout in the primary election held Tuesday, according to a release from his office.

Democratic and Republican voters will be selecting candidates for U.S. Senate, Congress and hot legislative races.

One of Nebraska's seats is open in the U.S. Senate, where Republicans hold a 53-47 majority. In the Senate GOP primary, incumbent Sen. Pete Ricketts will seek his party's nomination, while two Democrats, Cindy Burbank and William Forbes, vie to be on the fall ballot.
